Citizen Kh. Nabiev, born in 2002 and a resident of Abdurahmoni Jomi District, Khatlon Region, filed a report with the Line Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at Dushanbe International Airport, stating that on August 18, 2026, an unidentified person secretly stole his Samsung A56 mobile phone, valued at 4,000 somoni, near the entrance to Terminal 1 of Dushanbe International Airport and fled the scene.
As a result of operational-search activities, citizen Rakhmonali Imomov, born in 1994 and a resident of the city of Kulob, Zarbudor rural community, was detained on suspicion of committing the crime.
During the investigation, it was established that the suspect was also involved in five other thefts.
In addition, as a result of operational-search activities, citizen Talabsho Fozilzoda, born in 2008 and a resident of Mehrobod rural community, Nurobod District, as well as one minor, were detained on suspicion of committing a theft.
It was established that between July 27 and August 4, 2026, the detainees secretly entered the Istiklol store, located in Khumdon rural community, Nurobod District, and owned by citizen Mahmadyakub Khojaev, a resident of Nurobod District, on four occasions. They stole 5,350 somoni in cash, as well as clothing, footwear, food products, and perfumes.
The total amount of damage caused was 9,100 somoni.
An investigation into these cases is underway.
