On August 18–19, 2026, the third meeting of the “GLO.ACT Women’s Network” is being held in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, under the theme “Recent Achievements and Challenges in GLO.ACT Partner States from a Gender Perspective.”
Representatives of GLO.ACT partner states are participating in the event, including a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan. Tajikistan is represented by Alamschozoda Abdurahmon Alamsho, Chair of the Interagency Commission on Combating Trafficking in Persons and First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel General of Militia, who addressed the meeting.
In addition, Nigina Alizoda, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Buhorizoda Behruz Rustam, Deputy Head of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Center of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered presentations during the meeting.
The meeting addressed issues related to combating human trafficking, protecting the rights of victims and providing them with the necessary assistance, as well as trends and specific characteristics of human trafficking in GLO.ACT partner states.
The main objective of the meeting is to exchange experience and information in the field of combating human trafficking and supporting its victims, strengthen international cooperation, and create opportunities for establishing professional networks among women specialists working in this field.
It is expected that such events will contribute to strengthening interstate cooperation and increasing the effectiveness of measures aimed at preventing and combating human trafficking.
