On the afternoon of July 8, as part of the working visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, to the Sughd Region, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel General of Militia Ramazon Rahimzoda, officially inaugurated the new auxiliary building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Department in the city of Kanibadam.
The construction was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the Leader of the Nation in preparation for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. As a result, modern and comfortable working conditions have been created for the department’s personnel. The new three-storey administrative building, located adjacent to the main department building, includes 16 spacious offices, a conference hall with seating for 100 people, a training classroom, and other essential facilities. All premises are fully equipped with office furniture, computers, and the technical equipment necessary for effective service.
The new building accommodates operational units and specialized services, including the Criminal Investigation Department, the Drug Control Unit, and the Juvenile and Youth Affairs Unit, providing their personnel with appropriate working conditions.
Previously, the site was occupied by outdated auxiliary structures that were no longer suitable for use. In response to the growing need for additional office space, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Department in Kanibadam initiated the construction of a new administrative building. This initiative was supported by the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and implemented within a short period through funding provided by the Ministry, the Executive Body of State Authority of Kanibadam, as well as contributions from the department’s personnel and patriotic entrepreneurs. The construction was completed to a high standard.
In addition, a sports ground has been established on the adjacent territory to encourage regular physical training and help maintain the fitness of personnel.
As part of the overall improvement project, the department’s main building also underwent major renovation. At the same time, the surrounding area was upgraded with newly asphalted roads, paved walkways, a designated parade ground for formation inspections, and landscaped green spaces featuring ornamental trees and shrubs.
After inspecting the new facilities, the Minister of Internal Affairs met with the department’s personnel and provided specific professional guidance and instructions, emphasizing the importance of carrying out their official duties conscientiously and responsibly.
During the ceremony, the Executive Body of State Authority of the city of Kanibadam presented the department with a Hyundai Santa Fe vehicle, which will contribute to the more effective performance of its operational duties.
