Citizen M.I., born in 2001 and a resident of Istaravshan, was detained on suspicion of committing an extortion-related crime.
According to the investigation, the woman entered into an intimate relationship with a teacher and recorded the encounters on her mobile phone. She then allegedly threatened to distribute compromising videos and, through extortion, demanded and received 15,000 somoni from the victim.
In addition, officers of the A. Jomi District Department of Internal Affairs detained Kh.Sh. Kurbonova, born in 1974 and a resident of the Sino District, on suspicion of extortion.
It was established that in 2023, after learning about the intimate relationship between her daughter, Kh.Yo., born in 2001, and citizen S.J., born in 1987 and a resident of the A. Jomi District, as well as the birth of their child, Kh.Sh. Kurbonova allegedly demanded and received 143,000 somoni from S.J. by threatening to disclose information that could damage his honor and reputation.
Subsequently, Kurbonova again contacted S.J. and demanded an additional 77,000 somoni, threatening to tarnish his honor and reputation before his family members if he refused to pay.
On June 11, 2026, during operational investigative measures, Kh.Sh. Kurbonova was detained after receiving 77,000 somoni. The money was seized and registered as physical evidence.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with these incidents, and the investigation is ongoing.
