On June 4, 2026, at approximately 17:30, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz 200 with state registration number 55-55 LN 02, Murodov Mirzosaid Okhunovich, born in 1983, a resident of the Matchinsky district, was traveling at excessive speed on the Gafurov–Khujand highway near the Palace of Culture in Bobojon Gafurov district. He failed to ensure road safety and, due to negligence, struck a minor pedestrian, Temirov Imronbek Dostonovich, born in 2019, a resident of the Gafurov settlement in Bobojon Gafurov district, who was crossing the roadway.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the minor Temirov I.D. died at the scene.
