On May 6, 2026, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, General Colonel of militia Rahimzoda Ramazon Hamro met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Chung Sung-shik. 
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime, cybercrime (online fraud), terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and other issues of interest. The Minister of Internal Affairs and Chung Sung-shik agreed to strengthen refresher courses, learn from each other's experiences, and explore other areas of cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, they expressed confidence in the development and expansion of bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and security.
