During an operational search, militia officers detained a 49-year-old resident of the Khuroson district on suspicion of fraud
Detained in September 2007, fraudulently gained the trust of a 36-year-old local resident in order to exonerate his brother, a 63-year-old local resident who was facing criminal charges under Part 4 of Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan. He received $10,000 from the resident. However, the suspect took no action on behalf of the 36-year-old resident and spent the money on his own behalf.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 4 of Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and an investigation is underway.
