During a search operation, police in the Firdavsi district of Dushanbe detained a 19-year-old and a 16-year-old resident of Kulyab on suspicion of illegally trafficking fireworks.
The suspects were found in possession of a bag containing 30 boxes (units) of fireworks, totaling 18,000 pieces.
During the search operation, militia also established that the suspects had received the fireworks from a 19-year-old resident of Kulyab. Investigative operations are ongoing with the goal of making an arrest.
Thus, during the course of investigative operations, militia officers established that a 24-year-old resident of the Asht district purchased 23 boxes (units) of pyrotechnics labeled "Treniya X 201" from unknown person on December 15, 2025, at approximately 14:00 p.m. in a new development.
According to a forensic expert, the seized materials, numbering 10,350, are classified as pyrotechnic products and are suitable for sale.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Article 199, Appendix 1, of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, and an investigation is ongoing.
