During an operational search, militia officers detained a 35-year-old resident of Tursunzade, previously convicted under Part 4 of Article 247 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, on suspicion of robbery.
On December 8, 2025, at approximately 13:30 p.m., the detainee, wearing a sports cap and a medical mask, entered the apartment of a 50-year-old Dushanbe resident through the fence using a plastic pistol and a kitchen knife, threatening to kill the victim, a 20-year-old woman, her 15-year-old daughter, and a 20-year-old woman, all local residents.
He held them hostage for approximately two hours, bound their hands and feet with rope, gagged them with various cloths, held a knife to each of them, and demanded a large sum of money.
An investigation is underway.
