On July 22, 2025, at approximately 17:00, the driver of an Opel Vectra, a man, born in 1986, a resident of Penjikent, while driving along L. Sherali Street in Penjikent, lost control and hit a pedestrian woman, born in 1957, a resident of Penjikent, who was crossing the road.
As a result of the accident, the woman received injuries of varying severity and was hospitalized in serious condition. She died in the hospital a day later.
An investigation is underway into the accident.
