On the afternoon of July 16, the opening ceremony of the International Competition "Young Traffic Inspectors" was held in the Abuabdullo Rudaki Palace of Culture in Khujand with the participation of teams from seven CIS member states: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan and Belarus.
The event was attended by numerous young promoters of traffic rules from cities and regions of the republic, as well as representatives of organizations and institutions interested in educating the younger generation.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Major General of Militia Nasimzoda Akbar Giyos, made a welcoming speech.
He emphasized that the international competition initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs plays an important role in the legal education of adolescents, teaching them traffic rules, as well as in strengthening friendship between young participants. He wished success to all teams and expressed confidence in the importance of such events for the formation of safe behavior on the roads.
It was noted that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan attaches particular importance to ensuring the safety of all road users, especially children and adolescents, taking the necessary measures to protect the health and lives of citizens.
During the ceremony, representatives of teams from neighboring countries expressed gratitude to the organizers for creating favorable conditions for holding a competition that promotes moral and legal education of young people.
