On July 11, 2025, at about 04:20, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz 200,  a man, born in 1995, a resident of Dushanbe, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, while driving along Borbad Street, failed to ensure traffic safety and hit a pedestrian man, born in 1986, a resident of Gissar.
As a result, the pedestrian received serious bodily injuries and died at the spot of the accident.
An investigation is underway into the accident.
