During operational and investigative activities, militia detained a 31-year-old resident of the city of Isfara on suspicion of committing the crime of extortion.
In May 2024, the suspect entered into a love relationship with a 24-year-old young man, gave birth to a child from him and, in order to obtain money by extortion, demanded 5,400 somoni from the victim, threatening to publish defamatory information on a social network, and then, threatening, demanded 1 million Russian rubles to buy an apartment before August 2025.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 1 of Article 250 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, an investigation is underway.
