As a result of operational and investigative activities carried out by police officers, it was established that a 28-year-old resident of the Varzob district and a certain "Rajabali" from the city of Bogdanovich in the Sverdlovsk region of the Russian Federation, approximately in April 2024, in order to obtain gratuitous earnings by providing work, recruited a 46-year-old resident of the Rudaki district, and subsequently subjected her to labor exploitation at a shoe factory. They took away her passport and other documents, thereby restricting her movements, subjecting her to labor bondage.
Also, while in the city of Bogdanovich in the Sverdlovsk region of the Russian Federation, approximately in April 2024, the suspects, under the pretext of employment, recruited a 33-year-old resident of the Varzob district, and then subjected her to labor exploitation at a shoe factory in order to obtain free earnings. The suspects subjected the victim to debt bondage, and also took away her passport and other documents.
A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Part 2 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, the investigation is ongoing.
