Expanding cooperation in the implementation of police reform
On April 2, 2025, within the framework of the joint action plan of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Program Office in Dushanbe for 2025, the National Coordinator for Police Reform, Major General of Militia Azizulozoda Safialo Azizulo, held a fruitful meeting with representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America in the Republic of Tajikistan and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Program Office in Dushanbe in the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Law Enforcement Assistance Section of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe, Mr. Miroslav Milojevic, the Counter Narcotics Advisor of the US Embassy in the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Michael Copper, and other officials.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation in the implementation of police reform in the Republic of Tajikistan were discussed, including the intensification of the activities of the Unified System for Receiving Applications and Reports on Crimes and Incidents in the Directorate Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dushanbe, as well as the creation of a patrol police in Dushanbe.
During the meeting, the participants also exchanged views on the progress of police reform measures.
