On November 28, 2024, in the hotel of Khovaling district of Khatlon district, within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Program Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe with the participation of representatives of the executive office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ambassadors of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Japan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the ambassador of the OSCE Program Office in Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the embassies of the United States of America, the Turkish Republics, Uzbekistan, Islamic Iran, the Russian Federation, international organizations UNODC, helevetas TJ, accredited in Tajikistan, a meeting of the working group was organized and held at a high level. The meeting was held under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Major General of Militia Muborakshozoda Gayratsho Gulomsho, during which the process of police reform in the Republic of Tajikistan, the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Police" were considered, the opinion of an international expert on the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Police" and other important issues were discussed.
During the meeting, the participants presented specific proposals on the above issues and noted that they are ready to cooperate with the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the implementation of the police reform process.
In the afternoon, as part of the program of this meeting, the guests visited the historical sights of the Khovaling district, including the mausoleum of Sultan Uvais Qarani and the historical museum of the Hero of the Tajik people Vose.
