On June 25, 2024, at about 06:45 hours, the driver of an Opel Vectra, a man, born in 1997, a resident of Istaravshan, while driving on the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanok highway, lost control and crashed into a cart with a donkey.

Subsequently, the girl, born in 2010, a resident of Istaravshan, who was riding a donkey, suffered serious bodily injuries and died at the scene of the incident.
An investigation is underway into the accident.
